Kyrgyzstan is the country of mountains. The most interesting and attractive places, accessible not for all, are located in the mountains. This tour will afford you such opportunity. You will visit National Park "Ala-Archa" and the unique high altitude Lake Issyk-Kul, take part in horse-game show in one of Kungey Ala-Too gorges, stop for overnight in a yurt - nomad's dwelling. You will meet ancient historical monuments on your traveling route.


Travel begins in Bishkek with city-tour, which includes visiting of the Historical Museum, Frunze Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, Ala-Too Square (motley mountains, Turk.), the Victory Square and the monument to the legendary hero Kyrgyz epos - Manas. Next day in the morning will be unforgettable journey to the National Park Ala-Archa (motley tree, Turk.) Fascinating walking up to the small plateau to see beautiful mountain sceneries. Next day is one-day trip to the picturesque Issyk-Ata (hot father, Turk.) gorge. Walking the gorge it is possible to see the famous stone with Buddha inscription. On the way back to Bishkek is visiting of historical complex "Burana Tower" (XI century A.D.). The complex was a part of Balasagun city, the capital of Karakhanid's state which located on the Great Silk Road. The historical complex consists of a small museum and tower itself. There are collection of stone figures of people - "balbals" and ancient labor tools - millstones and seed-grinders under the open sky nearby. Then the route goes through the scenic Boom Gorge along the rough Chu River and leads out to Lake Issyk-Kul. On the way to Bishkek is excursion to a place stones gathering with petroglyphs images under the sky in environs of Cholpon-Ata (Venus's father, Turk.) town. Stop for overnight in resort which has received the name "Aurora" as resembles the form of legendary Bolsheviks cruiser. In the morning of the next day is excursion to the Semenovskoe Gorge for participation in horse show which accompanied demonstration of national games - "Kyz-Kymai" (chasing the girl, Turk), "Oodarysh" (wrestling on horses, Turk.), "Ulak-Tartish" (goat-lathing, Turk.). Transfer to Karakol (black hand, Turk.). City-tour includes visiting Dungan Mosque, the Holy Trinity Church and the museum of the great Russian traveler Nicolay Przhevalskiy. Then, according the itinerary, over the Dolon Pass (3030 m) is Naryn town. The town is also known as "the last point of civilization" because from here the route will be continued along sparsely populated area. 

Stop in the Kara-Koun Gorge, there mysterious caravan-serai Tash-Rabat (stone structure, Turk.) is located. It is the biggest construction of such type dated to XV century A.D. in Central Asia. Making the acquaintance of local shepherds. Shepherds will offer national felt handcraft, invite to visit their dwellings and taste tea and national drinks such as kumys and airan. Overnight in the yurt camp situated nearby. Next day morning is transfer to the high altitude Son-Kul Lake (the last lake, Turk.). Numerous skiff's barrows, nomad's yurts and nice mountain views with bright alpine flora are found on the way to the Chichkan Gorge (mouse, Turk.). Driving through mountain tunnel Tuya-Asuu (young of camel, Turk.), arrival in Bishkek and farewell dinner in a restaurant with Kyrgyz folk music performance will finish travel.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: arrival in Bishkek. Day 2: drive to Ala-Archa, return to Bishkek. Day 3: drive to Issyk-Ata Gorge and Burana Tower, return to Bishkek. Day 4: drive to the Issyk-Kul Lake. Day 5: drive to the Semenov Gorge, return to Aurora. Day 6: drive to Karakol. Day 7: drive to Naryn. Day 8: drive to Kara-Koyun Gorge. Day 9: Tash-Rabat. Day 10: drive to Son-Kul Lake. Day 11: transfer to the yurt camp in the Chichkan Gorge. Day 12: drive to Bishkek. Day 13: departure from Bishkek.
