The main attractions of the route in the Kyrgyz Republic are old relics such as Tash-Rabat Caravanserai and Burana Tower and amazing alpine scenery including the Kyrgyz Ala-Tau and Tien Shan mountain ranges and the Issyk Kul Lake (the world's second-largest alpine lake). The journey between Bishek and Kashgar (China) via the Torugart Pass is a popular auto route.
